Stocktake closure of Search Room (and possible noise)

The Search Room will be closed to the public from 13-24 May (inclusive) for our annual stocktake. Telephone and email enquiries will continue to be dealt with, but responses may take a little longer than usual. We will reopen at 10am on Tuesday 28 May (Monday 27 May is a UK public holiday).
 
Please also be aware that due to essential building works taking place adjacent to our building, the Search Room is experiencing high noise levels and severe vibrations. We are working closely with the contractors to minimise the disruption, but this work is expected to continue until further notice. Please keep this in mind when planning a research visit. You may want to consider using ear plugs or visiting at a different time. The noise levels may also make dealing with telephone enquiries difficult, please do bear with us.
