Mail Trains tells the history of the overland carriage of mail by rail, from draughty and poorly lit sorting carriages in 1838 to the purposeful late twentieth-century ‘Ladies in Red’.

Moving the Mail... by Road provides a great overview of the major developments in the transport of the mails by road since the public postal system began in 1635 – from horses through to motor vehicles.
