Playing for the Cup
Playing for the Cup explores the long tradition of sporting activity in the postal service. Many different sports have been played in all sorts of clubs and associations.
Much of the information in this exhibition comes from Post Office staff magazines, which are available to view in our Archive Search Room. These are a particularly good way of finding out about some of the sportsmen and women through the years.
The BPMA trophy collection also reflects the sporting activities and achievements of the Post Office, and the trophy catalogue is available online and in our Search Room.
The organisation of postal sport
Sport in the Post Office is connected to the need to be fit enough to perform postal duties.
