Post Office War Memorial, Liverpool

This is a memorial to men from Liverpool Post Office who died in the First World War. It was originally unveiled in the main hall of the General Post Office in Victoria Street on 15 June 1924. The memorial was recently moved and unveiled for a second time in 2006. Her new home is in Liverpool's newest shopping precinct, the Met Quarter that has been built on the old Post Office site.

Conservation Technologies restored the sculpture by cleaning her stonework and re-gilding the slate plaques listing those workers who lost their lives in the First World War.
